Benefits
The Remote Drill Operator (RDO) seamlessly controls the Vertical Thrust Leg (VTL) from up to 3 meters, enhancing operational flexibility and safety.
No vibration exposure for RDO.
RDO is also not directly under the hole when drilling.
There is no need for the RDO to guide the chuck of the drilling machine towards the hanging, and hence no more of those crush finger injuries.
The same VTL is used both to drill the hole and insert the roof bolt, spin into the resin.
The Drilling machine bracket rotates around a stable column, drastically increasing the ease of locating the hole when adding coupling steels or inserting longer fixed rods.
Because the VTL is stabilized between the hanging and foot walls, holes are always drilled at 90 degrees to the stope.
The inline thrust mechanism of the Drilling Machine delivers accelerated penetration rates, heightened precision, superior depth control, and reduced drill steel bending.
The GST VTL thrust leg gets the Drill machine much closer to the footwall, increasing the drill stroke length.
